About the opportunity


Our programs are designed to support whilst making the transition from student to registered nurse within a supportive and welcoming environment.

The aim is to promote educational opportunities to graduates as you consolidate your theoretical and clinical skills.

This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, and debriefing sessions which are supported by a dedicated learning team.


  • Position is for 6 months Inpatient at Werribee Mercy Hospital, Werribee and 6 months community
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be presented with a certificate of completion.

  • Commencing in February and May.

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Current COVID19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • Two page Curriculum vitae, relevant experience and clinical rotations
  • Certified copy of academic transcripts to date (including 'key to results')
  • Two recent and certified acute clinical appraisals
