3-5 years of experience with building modern applications utilizing services like Cloud Build, Cloud Functions/ Cloud Run, GKE, Logging, GCS, BigQuery & IAM. (AWS equivalent)
A strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Key Skills for the role:
- Demonstrated understanding of the "three pillars": logs, traces, and metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to present data observability information in ways that foster trust from consumers.
- Experience in Observability monitoring setup and configurations using OpenTelemetry solution and instrumenting application for telemetry data.
- Experience in delivering application performance monitoring visualizations with any of the following: ELK / Newrelic / Datadog / Splunk/ Grafana.
- Experience with GCP Alerts, Scripting & Automation, Performance Tuning, and Data Visualization.
- Network infrastructure, Firewall, Load balancing concepts and Security implementations.
- Familiarity with distributed tracing tools like Jaeger or Google Cloud Trace.
- Understanding of how to monitor RESTful and GraphQL APIs for availability, latency, and performance.
- Ability to design and collect relevant metrics and telemetry data, as well as define key performance indicators (KPIs).
