  • Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is a Strategic Industry Partner for the development of the Australian Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise with goals to enhance selfreliance, supply chain resilience, and developing a guided weapons manufacturing capability in Australia. The Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO) will oversee the execution of GWEO initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

Program Manager will establish long-term capabilities in support of the development of the GWEO Enterprise. The Program Manager will be operating in a fast-paced environment driven by strategic objectives, delivered through multiple partnerships, achieving deliveries against critical deadlines that will have high visibility to multiple stakeholders. The role will require a strong focus on working with multiple program teams in a collaborative environment.
- ***Key responsibilities will include:
  • Risk, Issue and Opportunity management
  • Resolving and negotiating business issues including financial, contractual and business management
  • Directing all phases of programs from inception through to completion
  • Partnering with customers, suppliers and stakeholders for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes, coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract
  • Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications as well as license production agreements of contracts.

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and or experience
  • Formal qualifications in project management that meets minimum requirements for National Competency Standard for Project Managers (Level 6), or equivalent or the ability to obtain this qualification within 12 months of appointment.
  • Experience in managing and executing programs with Australian Industry, Australian Government and International stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in successfully negotiating and managing complex Defence projects/programs, to successful and timely completion in a commercial fixed price environment
  • Establishing and maintaining effective long term relationships with the customer, suppliers and other third parties
  • Experience within International Trade Compliance
  • Experience in Commercial and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
  • Ability to travel interstate and internationally
  • Production and or Manufacturing experience in delivering technical goods also looked upon favourably
