Structural Drafter and Inspector

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a structural draftsperson and inspector.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our team in drafting structural drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

You will work closely with engineers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the drawings and models. Additionally, get first-hand experience in building structures by performing various site inspections.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and preparing structural drawings of building elements.
• Work collaboratively with engineers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the drawings and models
• Interpret and implement design specifications and calculations
• Perform compliance inspection of building elements.
• Organise and supervise maintenance and repair work
• Participate in project meetings and provide support to the project team as needed
• Maintain project records and documentation
• Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to drafting techniques, software, and industry standards

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in civil engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
• Familiarity with building codes and industry standards
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows

Preferred:

• Experience with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
