Research Scientist/postdoctoral fellow in paediatric hearing loss

Key responsibilities

  • Heading and taking part in starting, designing, organizing, and carrying out research projects on children's hearing loss following NAL project procedures
  • Analyzing and explaining data, and assisting other staff in data analysis and interpretation
  • Sharing research results through quality publications in worldwide peer-reviewed journals and trade publications, and delivering presentations at relevant conferences, as either the main author or co-author
  • Discovering, establishing, and/or nurturing relationships and partnerships within children's audiology
  • Keeping research skills up-to-date and staying informed about new developments pertinent to NAL's goals and finding ways to incorporate fresh scientific concepts into NAL
  • Acting as a supervisor for staff within the department

What you'll bring

  • Capability to design and carry out studies in one or more of the following 4 fields: language, neuroscience, hearing (e.g., speech perception), cognitive science. Experience with neuroimaging methods (EEG/FNIRS/MEG) and/or research in pediatrics is useful but not obligatory
