The Opportunity

The Librarian, Resources & Services performs a range of professional activities which provide the University community with timely access to high quality information resources essential for learning, teaching and research programs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide exceptional customer services to clients across multiple sites, face to face and virtually, particularly with reference to information resources and services.
• Foster a team culture to deliver efficient and effective outcomes with a strong service ethic and actively participate in the supervision, motivation and professional development of staff.

Your Application

• A degree in Library and Information Science with the ability to demonstrate relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training which would allow professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
• Experience in managing electronic information resource discovery and access services, including digital technology platforms.
• Advanced understanding of metadata and classification schema within a library environment.
• Proven analytical, research and problemsolving skills and ability to identify and recommend solutions to issues and improvements to systems and platforms.
• Ability to successfully work in a matrix organisation and build a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $107,061 comprising base salary within the range of $84,386 to $91,505 plus 17% superannuation.
