About the role
As the
Scrum Master you will promote and support the Scrum framework and disciplines across the organisation. You will be responsible for running Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand ups, reviews and retrospectives.

In addition, you will mentor and coach Product Owners, team members and company leaders for continuous improvement towards organisational wide agility.

Other key areas of responsibility will include:

• Work with engineering and product teams, along with the wider business to follow the currently defined Agile practices within the organisation in order to deliver to our roadmap;
• Act as an Agile champion and Scrum Master directly within specified engineering and product teams;
• Ensure overall business objectives for the adoption of Agile and Lean practices are understood, communicated and met at a team and key stakeholder level;
• Embed and improve internal thinking, framework and practices around Agile to ensure the business objectives of the change program are delivered;
• Enable a culture of customer focus and alignment to our strategic goals and principles in everything the team does;
• Provide ongoing mentorship and coaching for the Scrum teams and roles regarding principles, practices and roles within Scrum;
• Empower employees to manage their work, to accept responsibility and solve problems proactively;
• Promote collaboration and communication across functions, across teams, across boundaries;
• Get involved with the planning and tracking of key initiatives.

About you

You are an experienced
Scrum Master with a continuous learning mindset and an interest in developing it in those around you to nurture a culture of curiosity and innovation.

You are pragmatic and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to bring people on the journey.

You will also bring:

• Experience in a software development environment;
• At least 3 years experience in an Agile role;
• Extensive knowledge and experience with a variety of Agile techniques;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication;
• Lateral thinking and strong problem solving abilities;
• Ability to liaise with business and technical stakeholders;
• Ability to mentor and coach at the individual, team, project, business unit and executive level;
• Ability to adapt and change your approach based on the person or team involved;
• Be able to manage up and down and be strong in making tough decisions when required.
