The Role

  • Full-time position for a fixed term of up to 5 years
  • Salary range from AUD$107,199 to AUD$121,340 per annum (inclusive of 17% superannuation)
  • Based in Bathurst

You should have a solid background in data mining and working with large volumes of data from diverse sources. The role requires a high level of precision and thoroughness, along with a deep understanding of data analytics and data science practices.

We are seeking someone with outstanding data exploration skills, capable of developing high-quality curated data resources for use by other teams in their analytics processes. You will be the key point of contact for all data-related inquiries and seamlessly fulfill the roles of an Information Analyst and Data Engineer.

Your responsibilities at the institute will be centered around one of the following key areas:

  • Defense and cybersecurity
  • Sustainable practices
  • Efficient supply chains
  • Ethical AI

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of education, training, and experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in data engineering or a similar field
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Big Data, Spark, and NoSQL databases, as well as exposure to Azure and/or other cloud platforms
