Due to an internal promotion, a role is now available for a Project Accountant focused on Ventia's Sydney Airport Rail Link Contract. The successful candidate will join the team on a permanent full-time basis with a flexible working setup – three days at the Milperra office and two days remotely.

The Project Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the financial aspects of the Sydney Airport Rail Link Contract in line with Ventia's policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor project finances and control expenses while creating budgets and forecasts Ensure the accuracy of financial records and reporting systems Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow using SAP Provide detailed monthly results to the Contract Manager with strategic analysis Lead process enhancements and manage internal WO processes and procurement via Ariba Generate claims and invoices as per contract terms Validate and process timesheets based on schedules

Requirements

Commerce or accounting degree Proficiency in Ariba and SAP Progress towards CPA or CA certification (preferred) Strong end-of-month skills Quick learner, proactive, and capable of independent work
