Hobart We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Budget & System Analyst with well-developed financial, analytical and system administration capabilities A great opportunity to develop your skills and experience.

As part of the whole-of-government budget team, you will contribute to the development, monitoring and management of the State Budget.

Duties include administration of the Budget Information Management System, analysis of BIMS data, support staff in using the system, and help resolving budgetary, financial and reporting issues and reforms as they arise.

About the opportunity On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Budget and System Analyst responsibilities will include: under general direction, assist in the administration of the Budget Information Management System which includes the deployment of system changes; providing training, advice, support and assistance to system users in the operation of the Budget Information Management System; under general direction, assist in the preparation of whole-of-government financial and budget reports; handling and recording financial information performing reconciliations; working as part of a team to ensure that the Branch's responsibilities are effectively achieved; Hours are up to 73.5 per fortnight.

We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.

The Salary range for this role is $96 584 to $ pro rata, per annum plus superannuation About the Branch The primary responsibilities of Budget Management Branch are to seek improved outcomes for the Tasmanian community through the provision of effective advice on the financial and resource management of government agencies, taking into account the Government's strategies and priorities.

The Branch also prepares, monitors and manages the State Budget on behalf of the Government.
