ING, Australia's most recommended bank, is looking for an Events Expert who will play a key role in delivering impactful event experiences that align with ING's commercial objectives and people engagement strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll work closely with the Internal Communications and Events Lead and Head of Stakeholder Relations to deliver impactful events for internal and external audiences within budgets and in line with business objectives.
  • These include key businesswide events, annual celebrations, notable dates such as International Women's Day, managing as well as business unit town halls and employee community led activities. Managing events for ING global visitors is also part of the role.
  • You'll get to work with ExCo and senior leaders to develop new and engaging events providing strategic counsel and optionality is important as is challenging the status quo to ensure continuous improvement.
  • A balance of key attention to detail and excellent planning and organisational skills is critical to the role.
  • You'll also work closely with our inhouse creative team and agency / event partners

What are we looking for? Someone who has

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing events in a corporate/professional services industry. Experience in a compliance based or regulated industry like financial services is highly regarded.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to quickly build relationships with all stakeholders up to Exco level
  • Ability to plan, manage multi deadlines, decisions and budgets under pressure
  • A continuous improvement mindset with fresh thinking and new ideas, to keep taking ING events to the next level as well as your own career
