The role

Due to our unique approach to family law, the demand for our services continues to grow. We now have an exciting opportunity for a new Senior Associate to join our tight knit and supportive team at Evolve Family Lawyers. Is this you?

This is a key senior role at Evolve Family Lawyers.

You will work and manage your own client work with a team of Associates, Junior Lawyers and paralegal support, reporting directly to and working with the Founding Director and accredited specialist in family law Geovanna Jammo.

You will also work with and support Geovanna to contribute to the growth of Evolve Family Lawyers and developing initiatives to impact the team, our clients, the profession and the community in the family law space.

  • You are a highly skilled and experienced Senior Family Lawyer who is passionate about family law and helping families resolve their disputes by walking beside them, guiding them, and helping them through to the otherside of their separation.
  • You are fun, energetic, compassionate, empathetic, strategic and down to earth.
  • You are committed to being part of a client's solution, and not adding to their problem.
  • You are genuinely excited and passionate about joining a growing and fast paced boutique family law practice and a close and friendly team, where you have the opportunity to input into Evolve Family Lawyer's and its culture, growth and service.
  • You are motivated and a go-getter.
  • You are detailed oriented, a strategic thinker and have outstanding time management skills.
  • You love to build strong and authentic relationships with your clients and with other professionals.
About your skills and experience

It is essential that you:

  • Are an Accredited Specialist in Family Law (or willing to be) with at least 5-7+PQE in family law.
  • Have a proven track record of working independently in a variety of family law matters including property settlements (basic through to intricate/complex/high net worth), parenting disputes (including high conflict, history of abuse/mental health/substance abuse issues and relocations); and financial agreements (including pre-nuptial).
  • Have or willing to gain/learn business development experience and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Have an understanding of, and proven experience with how to manage high conflict cases. and be able to find resolution amongst the conflict.

We would love you to also:

  • Have undertaken Independent Children's Lawyer training.
  • Have experience in or an interest in Collaborative Practice,
  • Have a genuine desire to leave both places and people better off after they have met and spoken with you.
  • Approach your work skilfully in picking the right battles and focus on resolving conflicts.
