We currently have a vacancy for a Supply and Inventory Planner who will be responsible for managing inventory levels working closely with the external manufacturers, supply chain team and other functions including sales, marketing and customer services to ensure that inventory for assigned products is available to meet the business needs.


Key responsibilities of the role:

Manage the Manugistics order system for weekly/monthly departmental orders.

Analyse weekly inventory & place manual purchase orders to reduce back order wait time.

In conjunction with the Planning Manager, ensure all parameters are established within Manugistics to ensure accurate order flow.

Manage supplier PO's, deliveries, discrepancies for inbound orders.

Manage & Process freight invoices within SAP for your BU.

Work directly with Planning Manager on any unexpected sales demand.

Review outstanding purchase orders & close off in SAP system.

Follow up overdue back orders with suppliers & update customer service on ETA.

Advise all internal BU departments of any long-term supply issues.

Manage suppliers to deliver against established agreements; ensure all purchase orders are available in SAP for warehouse to receipt.

Participate in monthly S&OP meeting & make recommendations on improved service levels & forecast accuracy.

Participate in formal inventory meetings for all business units.

Manage the relationship for Supply Chain for your Business Unit with our 3PL warehouse service provider.

Knowledge and Skills:

3+ years in a supply/demand planning role.

Experience in inventory management.

Experience performing similar duties within medical device / pharma industry.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to anticipate, understand, prioritize customer needs.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal, teamwork and workload planning skills.

Financial understanding.

Able to effectively utilise Microsoft Office suite of products and standard digital technology tools.
