On behalf of our client, a world leading integrated energy company, we are currentky seeking for an Site-based HSE support and visible on-ground HSE advice to ensure the safety of operations.
This includes incident investigation and reporting, hazard reporting, environmental awareness, SIMOPs, field safeguard assurance, HOP, occupational hygiene, and control of work.
The role also includes supporting HSE leadership coaching and implementation efforts, as well as providing coaching and support within major capital projects.
About this role
- Provide site based HSE support.
- Provide visible onground HSE support and advice including Incident Investigation & reporting, Hazard reporting, Environmental awareness, SIMOPs, Field Safeguard Assurance, HOP, Occupational Hygiene and Control of Work
- Support HSE leadership coaching and Implementation efforts, provide coaching and support within Major Capital projects
- Attend routine One Island interface meetings with Operations and MCP stakeholders.
- Prioritize effort according to MCP requirements whilst supporting One island needs where capacity exists.
- Undertake Assurance activities including Field Risk Inspections, Environmental (including Off plot) and Process safety.
- Support regulatory interface as required.
- Participate in Risk Assessments as HSE SME / Provide Risk Reviews (i.e., HAZIDS, JHA, Operational Risk Reviews
- Provide Business Partner HSE support, participating in COEM / CHESM assurance activities. Liaises with Business Partners where required to implement improvements.
- Review relevant Drainage discharge plans and other associated support where required.
- Develop organisational capability in H&S
- Mentors HSE staff, building technical competency to meet MCP needs.
About you
- Relevant HSE certification
- Experience in a similar role, within the Oil and Gas industry
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance requirements, including environmental regulations
- Experience with incident investigation and reporting, hazard reporting, and risk assessments
- Knowledge of occupational hygiene and control of work practices
- Ability to provide coaching and support for HSE leadership and major capital projects.
- Experience with field risk inspections and process safety assurance activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with business partners and regulatory agencies as required.
- Ability to mentor HSE staff and build technical competency to meet MCP needs.
- Knowledge of waste management and wastewater treatment and disposal requirements
- Ability to demonstrate We Lead behaviours
- Required to undertake a site medical as part of their onboarding.
- Understand Waste Management and Wastewater Treatment & Disposal
- Part V License Compliance &Implementation requirements.
