Eden Ritchie Recruitment is seeking a Senior ICT Procurement Manager who will lead the development and implementation of best practice procurement management systems, strategies, and procedures. Your role is crucial in meeting business needs, delivering economy and efficiency, and ensuring consistency in accordance with whole-of-government procurement reform.

Key Responsibilities

As the Procurement Manager, you will support the strategic direction, identifying and planning for changes in future demand for products and services, and managing and reviewing the performance of current sourcing strategies.

Additionally, you will exercise a procurement delegation, overseeing sourcing processes, development of documentation, engagement with the marketplace, evaluation of offers, and negotiation of contracts. Continuous improvement is key, and you will be expected to implement agendas that include mentoring and development of procurement staff.

Your role will also involve maintaining detailed documentary records of procurement processes, decisions, and contractual arrangements, ensuring the audit trail is maintained for probity, accountability, and audit purposes.

Finally, you will represent the department in dealings with other agencies and whole-of-government forums, contributing to a high level of professional practice within the organisation.

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate key capabilities, knowledge, and experience including:

• Strategic focus and alignment of operational activities with organisational objectives.
• Ability to establish clear plans and timeframes for project implementation.
• Building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Providing impartial and forthright advice and confidently presenting messages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation abilities.

While not mandatory QGCPO Level 3 Advanced procurement or Level 4 Strategic Procurement or equivalent would be highly regarded.
