Flight Centre Travel Group are looking for a Salesforce Engineer to join our Corporate Technology space We have recently completed rebuilding our 15+ year old legacy Salesforce instance. Our focus now is to continue to add value by enabling our business through technology while further globalizing our people and processes.  

The business processes we enable in our Salesforce are end-to-en as we cover Marketing, Sales, Implementations, Account Management, Operations, and Support.  We have also recently deployed an Omni Channel solution that is critical to our business and their interactions with customers.  This is leveraging Service Cloud and will continue to expand with the use of Service Cloud Voice, Einstein, GPT, and integrations with our other important platforms.

What you will do...

  • Salesforce Development:  utilize your expertise to design, develop, test, and implement Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements.  You will collaborate with stakeholders, such as Business Analysts and Product Managers, to translate functional specifications into technical design documents.
  • Transformation Projects:  Participate actively in transformational projects aimed at improving processes and optimizing Salesforce capabilities.  Your ability to identify areas of improvement and deliver solutions to address business challenges will be critical.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC):  demonstrate your understanding of the SDLC by following best practices throughout the development process.  You will be responsible for code versioning, code reviews, and ensuring the quality and security of all Salesforce development.
  • Participate in DevOps: leverage your DevOps experience to conduct Salesforce deployments within the broader technology ecosystem.  You will work with the Development team to help streamline deployment processes, automate workflows, and ensure continuous integration and delivery. 
  • System Integration:  collaborate with other development teams to integrate Salesforce with external systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Technical Support:  provide L3 technical support to our L1/L2 support team for more complex issues.
  • Documentation:  maintain detailed documentation of technical specifications, configurations, and customizations to facilitate knowledge sharing and efficient project management.
  • Stay Updated:  keep up to date on the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry best practices to proactively recommend improvements and innovative solutions.

 

 

Who you are...

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce specialist.
  • A firm grounding in the Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience of Visualforce, Flows, LWC, Apex and web services.
  • Experience in continuous iteration of software development and testing (code coverage) combined with collaboration tooling (JIRA/Confluence).
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, force.com Migration Toolkit and Salesforce DX.
  • Experience in building Web Service enabled applications, APIs (SOAP and RESTful) and integration.
  • Demonstrated experience of Visualforce, Apex and web services.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering efficiency and improvements through automation.
  • Proficient in Salesforce Architecture and solutioning following Salesforce best practices.
  • Experience building Experience Cloud sites.
  • Experience in a travel-related industry.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certified
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certified 
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certified
