Chef or Experienced Cook

Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Chef or Cook at the Defence Establishment Orchard Hills (Penrith). This role is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a dynamic and fun working environment.

The Position:

• Casual or part time position
• Prepare high quality buffet style bulk cooking for a variety of service times including breakfast, lunch or dinner, desserts, and functions.
• Maintain all catering controls, OH&S compliance, and HACCP with a strong focus on waste reduction.
• Support kitchen efficiency with goods receiving stores and cold room controls.
• Drive exceptional service when interacting with our customers.

The Person:

• Certificate 3 in commercial cookery or experience in commercial bulk cookery
• Displayed experience in large commercial kitchens.
• Licence and transport to access site.
• Good understanding of HACCP, allergen management and food safety
• Passion for quality, fantastic presentation, and detail focused
• Plan for success individually and to meet organisational goals
