Are you an experienced Hospitality employee seeking a new and exciting role? Then look no further as City of Canterbury Bankstown is searching for 3 experienced Hospitality staff, who are confident, highly motivated, individuals who are committed to achieving quality outcomes to complement a focused Venue Operations Team.

• Assist with the ordering of stock and monthly stocktake
• Operation of Council’s POS systems including cash registers and adhering to Council’s cash handling guidelines.
• Contribute to the profitability of the Bryan Brown and Function Centre and the BLaKC Café by proactively promoting sales, merchandising and ticketing.
• Daily set up of the Café in preparation to trade
• Prepare and serve the daily menu and any required specials
• Ensure pre planning for each day in particular functions, special events and activities
• Ensure that the Café area, all equipment and fixtures are kept clean and hygienic at all times and ensure that all equipment is operated in accordance with Council’s safe operating procedures.
• Observe the legal requirements for the responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and report all breaches to the Coordinator-Venue Management.

• Hold current RSA or willing to obtain
• Available for immediate start
• Certificate 1 or 2 in Hospitality or demonstrated relevant experience in hospitality or food/events service industry
• Perform administration tasks as required such as answering phones, processing bookings and general office duties.
• Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the Bryan Brown Theatre and Function Centre, its facilities, programs and events and be able to effectively communicate this knowledge to Customers.

• Demonstrated experience in catering and servicing for functions
• Demonstrated experience in food handling safe practices
• Demonstrated experience in the use of coffee machines
• Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service to ensure a consistent high quality service delivery.
