[ads1] Job Responsibilities:- Maintain the administration of council’s financial systems including the general ledger, budgeting and asset information
- Provide effective and efficient accounting services in accordance with accounting standards and statutory obligations
- Develop strong working relationships and provide specialist accounting advice and support to internal customers
- Assist with support for internal financial system users
- Good knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and other financial practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
- An Accounting degree, and ideally some experience but more importantly a willingness to learn
- A highly organised nature with strong attention to detail; the ability to identify priorities and be efficient to meet competing timelines
