An exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Officer to join the team This position reports to the Procurement Manager and the office is located in Redland. This is a 6 month contract position.
The Senior Procurement Officer oversees procurement and contracting services to support strategic procurement processes and contracting activities. This role is responsible for enhancements in procurement, focusing on supplier performance and expanding the supply base to achieve desired outcomes. It ensures alignment with stakeholder expectations and organisational needs.
Responsibilities of Procurement Officer:
- Assist in end to end procurement activities including planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier lifecycle process
- Optimise procurement processes
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Drive cost savings
- Implement strategies to enhance procurement efficiency
- Collaborate closely with other teams, including Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations
- Support contract negotiations and vendor management activities
About you:
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or a similar role with a solid understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
