Platform Engineer Position Available

We're currently seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a team in Brisbane on a contract basis until June 2024 (with a 12 month extension option). You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Microservice and Event Driven Platform hosted in the Cloud. As part of this team, you'll contribute to the development and maintenance of modern IT tools and practices, facilitating the delivery of customer-oriented solutions.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain detailed technical knowledge of the systems and services, contributing to the development of technical standards and support documentation.
  • Create high-quality DevOps friendly platform components with scalability, fault tolerance, and security in mind, accelerating delivery time and reducing risk.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate existing processes, improving efficiency across the platform.
  • Prioritise workload and resolve support issues within expected time frames, ensuring timely delivery of services.
  • Champion best practices and provide hands-on technical support to accelerate Cloud learning among peers.

    What You Need to Apply for This Role:

    • Experience in at least one of the following technologies: Kubernetes, TerraForm, Kafka, AWS, CDC, or Qlik.
    • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the lifecycle patching required for microservice platforms.
    • Familiarity with Cloud environment security best practices.
    • Strong documentation skills to maintain support reference materials.
    • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
    • AWS Associate or Professional level certifications highly regarded.
    • Varied experience across the public and private sector is desirable.
