Randstad Ballarat is hiring Medical Billing and Receptionist professionals for a 8 month assignment in Ballarat, paying upto $40/hr + super - Full time hours - 38hrs/week

About the Role:
You will manage the efficient, timely, and accurate assessment and processing of billing outcomes for service fees, meeting performance and statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely data entry into our system.
  • Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
  • Process payments and issue receipts, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Accurately process medical claims for Medicare, private health funds, and other third-party insurers.
  • Review and reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
  • Submit claims, follow up on outstanding payments, and address any rejected claims.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely coding and billing.
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment plans, as necessary.
  • Manage phone lines, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments.
    Skills & Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in medical billing and/or medical reception (Desirable).
    • Knowledge of medical billing software and Medicare procedures (Desirable).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology, billing codes, and regulations (preferred).
    • Proficiency in MS Office and medical practice management software.
