Technical Analyst

Come join a local council government agency out in the western suburbs as they are looking for their next Technical Analyst to help them through different ICT internal projects. This opportunity is a 3 month fixed term contract as they work under the hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Design, implement and maintain corporate applications in adherence to data quality and privacy principles, business requirements and customer experience commitments
  • Develop and design solutions to facilitate integration, automation, data mapping and migration across platforms
  • Effectively manage and respond to data change requests in adherence to privacy and data quality policies.
  • Effectively identify, collect, organise, and document data and information in ways that make the system most useful for subsequent assessment, analysis, and investigation.
  • Engaging directly with end users, interpreting requirements, working with vendors, participating in creating, testing, documenting and delivery of customised application requirements to specifications.
  • Support technical design activities including workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement and deliver system outcomes.
  • Requirements gathering, technical specification creation, functional and non-functional system testing.
  • Create, plan and maintain system monitors, alerts, reports and technical documentation.
  • Involvement in change & release management for software changes and new releases.
  • Investigate and provide problem resolution of specific technical issues.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary design and development team such as business, subject matter experts, product owners, testers, developers, solution architects and project managers.

    Skills and experience

    • Demonstrated experience in analysis, problem solving and technical solution recommendation in large and complex digital transformation programs with strong experience working on customised enterprise scale applications.
    • Proven strong technical background including SQL / Transact-SQL skills and experience with XML, JSON, .Net and web API methodologies
    • Highly developed data management skills including data migration, extraction, transformation and cleansing, quality assurance, governance principles and reporting within enterprise architecture.
    • Experience working collaboratively in an agile environment with a multi-disciplinary design and development team to identify and deliver solutions.
