Bechtel is seeking an experienced Project HR Representative to join the team in Perth and help our people excel in the delivery of projects within the Mining and Metals industry in Australia.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, and with support from the HR Services Manager for Mining and Metals, your major responsibilities will include:

  • Implement Human Resources policies, procedures and programs.
  • Set up of new Studies and Projects in Smart Staff, Talentworks and SAP.
  • Provide wide ranging advice and counsel to Project line and Regional Functional Management on Human Resources policies including but not limited to: salary administration, performance management, staffing, work visa administration strategy, emergency/contingency actions, accreditation and diversity and inclusion.
  • Develop and review Project Procedures (e.g. Onboarding, Staffing, Business Travel, myTime charging guidelines).
  • Work with different groups to support studies and projects staffing processes (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Advisory Services).
  • Other duties as required.

 

What You Bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or similar discipline with solid previous HR work experience in EPC or EPCM projects as a Project HR Lead.
  • Knowledge of and experience working within the Australian Employment Law context and awareness of legal requirements affecting Human Resources administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively conducting research, investigating alternative solutions and providing advice/outlining actions.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports for management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support a variety of customers and stakeholders across the business.
  • Availability to travel to jobsites as needed.
