Resource Analyst

Join an amazing government agency in Geelong, currently they are on the search for their next Resource Analyst. This is a hybrid role with 2 days (1 day from home) in the office with an initial 3 and a half month contract role with a chance to extend.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Support the creation of the Portfolio Roadmaps and Program of Works by collating demand initiatives from customer business units, conducting project portfolio modelling, scenario planning and analysis.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on resources allocation and deployment
  • Ensure that timing of project execution in the program is conducted within the capacity of the organisation by thorough analysis of requirements and collation of quality inputs in terms of resources required.
  • Establish and maintain the framework, tools and techniques to collect relevant data, consolidate, measure, report and monitor against targets
  • Act as a key contact point with external agencies and suppliers to source resources required to enable program delivery. Monitor delivery of external resources to ensure quality in delivery capability according to the defined framework and project outcomes. Take necessary action to rectify issues identified.
  • Track and report on trends in resource usage.
  • Provide administration support to the Augmentation and Test panel practices as required

    Key Selection Criteria

    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role with an understanding of an IT function preferred.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the Project Delivery Lifecycle and Service Delivery Lifecycle and how strong and well planned resource management practices influence successful delivery.
    • Demonstrated experience in commercial management of an IT or like business.
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt these to a diverse range of stakeholders and contexts.
    • Substantial experience engaging and managing external vendors to service delivery outcomes including management to financial and quality outcomes. Highly developed data management and reporting skills.
    • Experience with a resource planning toolset and PPM toolset
    • Relevant tertiary degree and/or significant industry experience.
