Seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineer/Architect based either in Sydney or Melbourne for a prestigious Telco company.
Role and Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Infrastructure Design: Lead the design and development of robust cybersecurity infrastructures, encompassing both on-premises and cloud environments. This includes architecting solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing IT systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Cloud Infrastructure Architecture: Architect end-to-end cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Develop secure cloud landing zones and implement strategies for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring a cohesive security posture across all cloud services.
Access Control Systems Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust access control mechanisms using TACACS+, RADIUS, and other AAA protocols to secure network and system access. Ensure access controls are compliant with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Cloud Infrastructure Security: Architect and secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Develop secure landing zones and implement hybrid and multi-cloud security strategies. Utilize CASBs and cloud-native tools to enhance security posture and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Container Security Oversight: Lead the security of containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and OpenShift. Establish security best practices for container orchestration, including image scanning, network segmentation, and runtime protection.
On-Premises Cybersecurity Infrastructure: Manage and optimize on-premises cybersecurity infrastructure, leveraging Dell technology and VMware. Implement security controls for virtualized environments and ensure the physical security of data centres.
Network Security Enhancement: Utilize advanced networking knowledge to design secure network architectures, manage firewalls, and configure VPNs. Implement network segmentation and micro segmentation strategies to limit lateral movement and enhance overall network security.
Security Frameworks and Compliance Management: Guide the organization in adhering to cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks) and meeting compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). Translate compliance standards into actionable security controls.
Automation: Leverage automation technologies to enhance asset and vulnerability management, and risk assessments. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity technologies and trends.

Mandatory Skills:

Advanced Access Control Expertise: Proficiency in designing and managing access control systems such as TACACS+, RADIUS, and AAA protocols. Demonstrated ability to configure secure access controls aligned with organizational and regulatory standards.
Cloud Security Proficiency: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with the ability to architect secure cloud environments, develop secure landing zones, and implement hybrid and multi-cloud security strategies. Familiarity with CASBs and cloud-native security tools is essential.
Container and Orchestration Security: Expertise in securing containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and OpenShift. Knowledge of container security best practices, including image scanning and runtime protection.

Networking and Security: Advanced networking knowledge, including the design of secure network architectures, firewall management, VPN configurations, and the implementation of network segmentation and micro segmentation strategies.
Compliance and Cybersecurity Frameworks: Familiarity with major cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks) and the ability to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
