Our client is seeking a Principal IT Architect to join their team in Perth. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on designing, developing and implementing enterprise-level systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning solution recommendations with the company's ICT Strategic Plan and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) roadmap. A deep understanding of ERP software architecture or similar system is critical for this role. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with all IT team members and other stakeholders within the organisation.

What you'll do:
As a Principal IT Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our client's organisation. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level systems that align with the company's ICT Strategic Plan and ERP roadmap. Your expertise in ERP software architecture will be crucial in ensuring technical fit of ERP solutions with the business. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders within the organisation, providing guidance and technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet business objectives
  • Lead and implement the company's ERP (TechnologyOne) CiAnywhere systems and associated solutions
  • Provide guidance and technical leadership to the project team throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments for proposed solutions
  • Work with the Business Areas to explore and map business problems, elicit business requirements, conduct a gap analysis and outline future desired state process flows and solutions
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT systems and architecture
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations for optimizing existing systems

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated high level of written communications skills, with the ability to concisely capture and present information for various types of audiences (technical or non-technical audience)
  • Well-developed organisational skills to manage competing priorities and business needs
  • Completion of an IT/IS/Computer Science/Software Engineering degree or an equivalent of relevant experience and/or education/training
