You will join the wider Library team and play a pivotal role in the efficient running of their library services and continued success and development of their offerings.

    Job Details
    • Supports teaching and learning by managing Library operations, ensuring access to quality information, assisting with digital resource development, and providing guidance on the Library Management system, e-platform, and research tools like LibGuides.
    • Manages the library circulation desk, offering student-focused support, supervising students
    • Assisting with borrowing, returning, cataloging resources, and overseeing inventory, acquisitions, and renewal of physical and digital collections, including periodicals, EZProxy, and accessibility technologies.
    • Collaborates with the Head of Library & Information Services to maintain the library system,
    • Manage OPACs, ClickView, and student volunteers, analyse circulation trends, create engaging displays, and support special programs and school events.
      About You
      • Ideally possess a qualification for professional or library technician membership with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
      • Have relevant experience in school, university, or public libraries, strong technical skills, including knowledge of library management systems, LibApps, and LibGuides, and proficiency in multimedia applications for creating graphics and signage.
      • Hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
      • Demonstrate understanding of libraries evolving roles and value
      • Exhibit excellent organisational and time management skills, and communicate effectively in various settings
      • Adhering to child safeguarding policies and contributing to their continuous improvement
      • As this role is a permanent position you must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered
