Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team in Townsville. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment within our fuel industry operations at Townsville airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical & fuel equipment.
  • Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required
  • Collaborating with team members to optimise operational efficiency.

    Requirements:

    • Australian Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter.
    • Australian Citizen.
    • Live in Townsville or have the ability to move.
    • Proven experience in the fuel industry preferred.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Current residence in Townsville, QLD, or willingness to relocate.
