About your new role

This role is a hybrid role based at Darlinghurst office.

The paralegal role will be responsible for offering a diverse array of paralegal, project, administrative, and business support services to facilitate the provision of the Independent Legal Assistance & Review Service (ILARS) and enhance overall service efficiency.

Start Date: 29/04/2024

End Date: 12 months from start date

Pay Rate: $350 per day + super

Location: Darlinghurst / WFH

Hours of work: 7 hours p/d, 35 hours p/w

Pre Employment Checks: Police Check



Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a range of paralegal functions to support the efficient divisional operations
  • Monitor and implement improved office systems, procedures and methods to facilitate efficient team/unit operations and support continuous improvement
  • Respond to enquiries and escalate and redirect issues as required, to ensure the provision of accurate information and quality customer services to stakeholders and service providers
  • Provide case management support to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Provide legal and non-legal administrative support to optimize efficiency and support the delivery of quality outcomes
  • Support a range of project, policy and other program initiatives to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved on project plans, milestones and deliverables

    What you will need to succeed

    • Must have workers compensation experience
      • Current and comprehensive knowledge of case management practice and procedure in a legal work environment
      • Previous experience working within NSW Government preferable
      • Paralegal background preferred
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
      • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
