Baker

Randstad has been given the opportunity to support the recruitment of our client who is an artisan bakery established in Melbourne with 20 years experience, dedicated to crafting premium baked goods for both wholesale and retail markets. Located in Brighton, it is a family-owned business, who are committed to quality, using locally sourced and organic ingredients. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Baker to join the team. As a Baker, you are responsible for the creation of a wide range of baked goods, from bread and pastries to desserts. Your role involves preparing dough, baking items to perfection, and meticulously following recipes to ensure consistency and quality. You must maintain cleanliness and sanitation in your workspaces, adhere to food safety standards, and manage inventory levels effectively. Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the production of high-quality baked goods using traditional methods and premium ingredients.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, engaging with customers to provide product knowledge and assistance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the bakery.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and uphold our reputation for excellence.
• Ability to lift heavy goods.
• 38 hours a week on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
• Days off on Tuesday and Wednesday.
• Start time: 4 am on Saturdays, 5 am on other days.Qualifications:
  
  • Prior experience in baking
  • Cert III or IV in baking
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passionate about producing exceptional food and providing outstanding service.
