ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or “villages” for remote workers, providing essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered work wear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.

We are looking for DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) qualified chefs to join our team in Greenbushes – a Goldfields site surrounded by hill ranges of pine forest and gum trees providing a lush green work environment to your eyes. The successful candidates will have access to state-of-the art facilities with all the buildings brand-new including the dining room, tavern, locker rooms, gym, and Pilates facilities. The culinary team will also have access to brand new kitchen equipment and machines that aid in safety and delectability of the dishes being served to village residents. An herb fam and vermiculture is also available for the support services employees to enjoy and tend ensuring work-life balance.

The Role

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes to high standards, considering dietary requirements and guest preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, following food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service during peak hours.
• Adapt to different environments and kitchens while consistently delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

The Person

• You will have experience working in a high volume, buffet-style kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate

• Creative flair and passion for experimenting with flavours and ingredients
• Experience in fast-paced environments, ideally remote site kitchens
• Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening and national police clearance
• Flexibility to work DIDO roster, demonstrating adaptability and resilience
