Our client is an electronic principal trading firm focused on market making and arbitrage opportunities globally. Technology remains paramount in driving our client's business, empowering its unified global trading platform and facilitating the micro-decisions crucial for successful trading.
The Role:
As a Senior FPGA Engineer at our client, individuals will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the core of the trading systems. Responsibilities for this role encompass, but are not confined to:
- Contributing to the evolution of hardware solutions, with a focus on FPGA development, delivery, and implementation.
- Engaging in the entire development cycle, from conceptualization to production, involving hardware selection, FPGA design, and system testing.
- Developing and implementing strategic signal processing algorithms, ensuring alignment with hardware and software requisites.
- Designing internal protocols for reviewing and monitoring system performance and safety standards, ensuring ongoing system maintenance.
- Coordinating the installation and procurement of technical systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and protocols.
- Contributing to the ideation and development of electronic components, circuits, and systems used in computer, communication, and control systems.
- Designing software, particularly embedded software, for integration into internal systems.
- Conducting research and designing programs to test relevant electronic components, circuits, and systems.
- Designing communication bearers based on wired, optical fiber, and wireless communication media.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in VHDL and/or SystemVerilog, as well as a programming language (preferably C++).
- Experience with Ethernet and TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with a scripting language, preferably Python.
- Experience in implementing high-speed, low-latency programmable logic designs.
- Understanding of network protocols and network infrastructure.
- Exposure to Linux.
- Competent written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine interest in financial markets.
- Strong academic record in Computer Systems, IT Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Technology Degree.
