About the role

As an Assistant Director, you will:

  • operate under broad direction and manage staff to deliver on complex policy matters

  • lead and build capability in a small team of APS level staffTo be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate:
    • high level written and oral communication skills
    • the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with key stakeholders and to influence outcomes

    • experience in delivering complex policy advice
      Eligibility

      To be eligible for these roles, candidates must be an Australian citizen and will be required to successfully undergo a police record check. A baseline or higher security clearance will be highly regarded as will policy experience or tertiary qualifications, particularly relating to health, industrial relations, science, regulatory reform, or industries policy
