Bechtel Energy has an opportunity for a construction supervisor to come on board as Interface Coordinator for our Pluto Train 2 project working FIFO in Karratha, WA.  This is a 3:1 roster.

About the Project:

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.  Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

About the Role:

As the Interface Coordinator, you will have responsibility and accountability for interface identification and integration, participating in interface meetings with Customer and Customer other Contractors and Subcontractors.

You will review the status of current and outstanding interface issues, identifying any new or emerging interfaces and resolving any issues or concerns arising from interfaces.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Liaison with Customer Interface Coordinator.
• Early identification of Contractor’s interfaces, as well as cataloguing and regular reviews.
• Interface planning, providing updates on key interfaces to site management; project interface schedule of activities including review of 120/28 Plan.
• Manning and permit forecast for work within the Operational Areas.
• Lessons learned and recommended best practices related to interface management.
• Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
• Other responsibilities as required.

What You Bring:

• Strong supervision experience including the ability to lead and manage change is desirable.
• Display effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
• Must have previous direct hire experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of LNG facility installations.
• Strong experience of liaising with and coordinating contractors and vendors.
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy industrial civil/piping/mechanical/electrical facility installations.

Additional Information:

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
