An organisation within the local government are seeking an Accounts Officer on an initial 4 month contract to support their Management Accounting team with maintaining the Section 7.11 Developer Contributions Register.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculation and indexation of Section 7.11 contributions, update contributions register to record payment against Development Applications
  • Monthly reconciliation of all Section 7.11 cash / non- cash income, expenditure and interest in Councilâs Section 7.11 Contribution Register
  • Assist with month end processes and monthly corporate reporting in line with agreed month end reporting timeframes.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Budget and Long Term Financial Plan
  • Any other adhoc tasks as required.

    Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualifications in accounting
    • Previous experience in a similar role
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft products

      Highly desirable:

      • Knowledge and experience working with Section 7.11 Developers Contributions register
      • Experience with Civica Authority
