Asphalt Labourer

Are you a labourer with Asphalt experience? This is an opportunity for ongoing work across a mix of projects.

You will be working within the Brisbane City Council, Asphalt and Aggregates branch. As part of the team, you will be working on projects on various sites around Brisbane.

About your new role

Assisting with different trades you will be involved with work at with road maintenance, potholes, reinstatements and direct seals and surfaces. The variety of this role will expand across the following labouring tasks

• Use screenboard to spread asphalt
• Perform routine pothole and sheet patching repairs
• Gravel and asphalt pavements
• Ability to work a rotating shift roster when required and Weekends.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
• Guide trucks and traffic while moving and tipping

  What you will need to exceed

  Asphalting experience is madatory. A strong sense of teamwork, a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines.

  • âMRâ Class drivers licence - mandatory
  • Work safety in the Construction Industry (White Card) - mandatory
  • Roller, paver, excavator or dozer tickets are desirable
