About the Role
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring inventory is accurately maintained with all global 3PL partners. The role will be task based and will include a broad range of Logistics tasks relating to global 3PL partners as required by the business.
This role works closely with 3PL partners, Sales, Customer Service, and other functions to lead and execute best practices to improve overall customer satisfaction and enhance results for the client.
Your duties will include:
- Maintaining great relationships with global 3PL partners and their point of contact to ensure inventory is accurate so that orders are entered and delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Monitoring 3PL inbox and ensuring the timely processing of inbound receipts to support outbound orders
- Investigating and answering any intercompany inventory queries
- Monitoring ERP for EDI errors, investigating errors, correcting and closing out in a timely manner
- Ensuring alignment between 3PL and ERPâs to support EDI flow
- Coordinating scheduled inventory reconciliations with all 3PL partners to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained
- Processing inventory variances once approval is provided
- Generation of export documentation and coordination for export orders ex global 3PL sites
- Continually improve customer outcomes while finding efficiencies.
- Control the inventory ledger. Investigate and understand root causes of inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor system interfaces and ensure reconciliation with partner systems.
The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
