Dispatch Clerk

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Coordinator to join one of our client's Head Office team for a permanent position. It's a full time job to start as soon as possible. 60 000 Dollars per year.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be involved in the following:
In conjunction with the production team coordinate delivery of the product to domestic warehousing in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Work closely with warehouse managers and freight forwarders to ensure delivery targets are met
Work closely with the logistics team to monitor forwarders and suppliers/factories' performance and raise issues if any with them accordingly
Daily processing of incoming and outgoing mail as well as incoming calls
Discuss with the line manager if airfreight shipments are required and manage as appropriate in line with delivery service standards.
Manage all Pick and Pack functions and make sure the depot is safe
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of shipping/freight market changes
About you
Previous experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Warehousing or Pick & Pack off-shore is highly regarded
Strong numerical and analytical ability is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
The ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with the business needs
Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised, as well as part of a team
A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn about our industry and processes
